Dark Future Low-Life
7639 S 259th Street, City of Kent, Renton District, Seattle Metroplex
The place used to be an independent towing and impound lot that folded sometime around 2030. The property owner used it as a storage space until he died in 2049, and the place became abandoned. When Bullet got out of prison and was looking for a place to live out of the public eye, one of his old friends told him about the place. With some help from a decker acquaintance, the greasing of a few palms, and some creative administrative wrangling, the structure was given a “shadow existence” that kept it nominally off the scope of the Renton District Utilities and Housing Commission. If it ever comes across someone’s to-do list for inspections or verification, a viral subroutine marks the job already completed satisfactorily by someone else. With the sheer volume of work on the RDUHC’s table, nobody has ever bothered to double check, and it is highly unlikely that anyone ever will. Bullet has cleared away the majority of the deceased owner’s stuff from inside, but keeps a lot of it piled up in the fenced-in yard, for appearance’s sake. Plus, it’s easier to conceal hideaways and security measures in all that junk.
